what's on my mind doing my work

Image
I always have a million things that I want to do for work or study. My former boss used to tidy up my desk as things might get pilled up quite a lot. I will call it a merit from my journalism career. I just inherited such merit from my colleagues when working in a press room. I must say I could never compare with the desk of my co-workers whose desks are full of references borrowed from the company's library. We just treasured every single reference and didn't have the intention to return a single piece of information to the library. Now everything has become electronic and my desk seems to be a bit improved. I always tell the amahs, "you can save some energy to clean up my desk since it's all covered by documents here and there." Does your desk look like this? Am I the only one?

my not new home

Image
I remember the first time I moved out of my parents' home, I was so excited and took pictures of my new home immediately. Of course, I did take pictures of my another home after the second move. But I had never taken any pictures of this home in the city centre. Maybe it's small, or maybe I didn't feel that I would stay long but that's the home where I've stayed the longest so far. So I took a few anyway when I struggle with my study last night. You will now get to see how packed is everything.

Frontline staff

I did quite a lot of readings on frontline staff and did some research about how they feel they've been doing at their workplace. I always feel they're having a lot of pressure at work facing a diversity of clients with different characters. If they meet a weird customer in a day. That may make your day already worse and bad. My "clients" are of different types, mostly journalists. They seem to be reasonable most of the time despite some have a distinct character. Some are long-winding, some give some extremely short deadline. I probably get used to it and just treat it a daily work. Sometimes I miss the days meeting a wider array of journalists working in an agency but a calm and less exciting life is not bad at all. Enjoy the spring and I have to figure out how to finish studying all chapters in 2 weeks.

A touch of spring

Image
Good to see the flowers dress up the parks and even the shopping mall, reminding us the spring season has come. Despite the weather is so hot now, friends still miss the hot pot. I thought he's crazy but it's a gathering rather than just food. So bear with it and enjoy the hot steam.

Sweet Red Bean Soup

Image
Since soup is not a hearty food in the summer, I tried out making red bean soup. For sure, I want to make it as healthy as possible but I realised that I had to add so many sugar in it to make the taste decent. Maybe it's not a good option for this summer and I should stick to the little chocolate cakes made from the ready bake mix 'coz I have no idea how many sugar or unhealthy stuff in it.

Golf again

I couldn't believe how bad my golf posture is till I started my golf class again. How come my head is tilted to one side constantly? Haha, it's quite funny to see my head is "losing balance". Now I've got a little bit more clue on why my ball is kept skewed to the right. But it gonna get quite an effort to correct it and improve my swing. The golf practice bay isn't as nice as the Island Golf but the little camera machine is useful to review the posture again and again. Check it out. http://asiagolf.hkwww.com/en/facilities.asp?uid=59
