wisdom of war
I never like seeing war movie but Red Cliff is not quite one but demonstrates the wisdom of war instead.
The main attraction of this movie was Takeshi Kaneshiro at the very beginning. He's someone good to look at but doesn't quite know how to act. He's got only one look, one expression and sings badly. I'm glad that he actually did act better this time as the historical smart man.
I hate watching people fighting and killing in those war scenes. The Lord of the Ring II already bored me to death. But this film was so extraordinary in the way it illustrated how this group of smart and fierce people won the war. The director John Woo even added some humour elements in the film. Too bad that we don't have the chance to see the biggest water battle scene till this winter.
