a special birthday

I was never that busy in my birthday week. After having a get together with an ex-reporter, I got another brief meetup with an ex-classmate. I had to forget how late my friends came to my birthday dinner on Saturday night 'coz they are always extremely late anyway, but great to have bites of a giant cheese cake and tiramisu. Look at these cakes.

Sunday was a trip to Macau with a friend's daughter. That's truly a "mom" experience and I felt pressure of taking care of a not too little "daughter". Luckily I didn't lose her in Macau but was a bit scared of her sea sick experience on the ferry. But there was a lot of wow wow in Macau. Now I learn that the Venetian Casino does look like the one in Las Vegas and the fountain show looks a bit like the one in Bellagio in Las Vegas too. Maybe I don't need to go to Vegas after all.

My birthday date was to bring this "daughter" to Ocean Park. Luckily that I didn't have to pay for my own ticket so I could pay for her ticket instead. I probably hadn't been to Ocean Park for years and there was so much changes after Allan Zeman have taken the position to help the government manage Ocean Park and turn it to be a popular place. There are not many wow in Ocean Park but it's a plesant day to see the pandas, ride the cable cars, see the jellyfish and tried a few rides. Well, this daughter almost lost her camera in a caferia. Oh my god. What I could say.

I love the fact that my "mom" experience was ok. She didn't get lost, didn't lose anything and just a little puke.

Last but not the least, happy to receive some sms, email and facebook greetings from friends. Surprised to hear "birthday songs" over the phone & skype too. I still smile when I listened to it.

So perhaps, geting old is not a worse thing.
