Intersection
There are always times you found yourself standing in an intersection where you want to change but somehow might not want to change. I read a story today about a man who reached to the top management when working in a hotel in Beijing. One day he gave up everything and decided to take care of his mother back to Hong Kong. He lost his high-paying job, ended up in a divoice and some years later, he lost his mother.
He was hopeless and had a thought of committing suicide. But he was being trained and "reborn" again for living a more meaningful life. He was now very successful in providing care service to the aged.
Maybe I can retrain myself to do a meaningful job that benefits the elderly but I hope that the future elderly care service can give senior people more respect and dignity. After all, we will all get old and who wants to be taken care of and live without privacy and dignity?
