Toronto & Vancouver

I couldn't believe that my Toronto trip was over and I continued my travelling in Vancouver.

I had a mixed feeling in my Toronto trip. It's good in a way to see the city again and my friends again. The city is not much different. I picked up my memory here and there when I walked around the streets in the city. Toronto Island is still peaceful, amazing and I met a friendly little black cat who was fond of me on Ward's Island. She's in front of the B&B and waited people to give her some attention.

There were some B&Bs around but I could only imagine only the old people would live there.

I'm a bit surprised that my friend's family stay calm over my friend's sickness. And I feel a bit worried that she doesn't have the medication at all. I remember I cried a few times when my mom broke her arms and I hated to show my feeling in front of her, but I just feel sad thinking how my friend has to go through all this and how hard it is for her family. Anyway, nothing I can do and just hope for the best.

So, about Vancouver! It's an unattractive city. I felt so safe after leaving the airport and easily found my way to the hotel. I'm surprised the hotel is much better than I expected despite all those bad comments on the website.

Then I walked to the notorious Hasting Streets. I tried not to pass the East Hastings at the very beginning but I still started to see homeless people and weirdos all over from one street further. Wow... people took drugs in the back alley so openly. As I walked here and there and I realised the weirdos are not only in Gastown or Chinatown. How come? These people are of all ages, of all sexes and everywhere. Now I find Toronto is a much better city than the West Coast. Of course, Montreal is still my favourite.

I hope I will change how I feel after I see Stanley Park some other days.
