Moving

When I first moved out from parents, I moved every 1-2 years till I settle down in where I live now. Despite its small size, the apartment is centrally located and I can enjoy a quiet moment walking around the streets during the weekend.

I once worked in a boutique company that required us to move a lot and one day I felt fed up and I told myself I would leave the company if I was asked to move again. And a few months later, I left.

You thought that the moving story is over but it's not. I moved my office two years ago and expect another move again. Things can be easily piled up when you're working in an office for a while, just like your apartment stocking up clothes, books, documents and gifts. What a nuisance for another move especially when it's busy time.

But I decided to let it be and clear up stuff much later.

What? Using Snails' Fluids for Skincare

Obviously I missed out the trendy cosmetic products that make use of the secreted fluids of snails. Two girls who used such products did not find it "gross" but effectively making their skin look better. That led to my little research about these "snail" products . Does it smell bad? Does it look like dirty green? It's totally opposite. The cream is gold in color, according to what my friend described. Mothers can do anything?

I rushed back to parents' home one day and walked fast across the concourse of Central Station from one side to another. Something caught my attention. Two buggies were parked on the side with a mother squatting on the floor. It's not a very common scene especially for a western mother in this awkward position. When I passed by the buggies, I had a peek and realized that the mommy was breastfeeding her son alone with the buggies parked like the shields. The Central Station is almost the biggest in Hong Kong with thousands of people passing by every minute. I pondered if I were a mother, would I do that? I saw mothers breastfeeding in the bench in the hospital I work but we don't have a busy patient flow. To me, breastfeeding is not something you will do it in public but I know mothers will do anything when their babies ask for it. Maybe the train station should consider to have a breastfeeding / babycare corner for those mothers.

Do you really know your friend?

Have you ever felt you knew a person and realised that you didn't? Once I was told one of my IT colleague actually knows how to speak Swedish as he decided to go all the way to Sweden to see the world. Now he wants to compete in an International Taekwondo Competition to see if he can break more bricks than his competitors. Interesting? Then my intern talked about she has been teaching private pinao classes for almost 10 years. What? She started to teach when she's 14. Young generation in this decade is really multi-talented and mature early. Today, I learnt from my yoga teacher that she is also a hair-stylist. Right, I probably should go and try it out to see whether people can have totally different talents. So, should I explore my second job other than my profession? What can I be? Maybe I can be a yoga teacher too. And I probably enjoy doing some less brainy jobs in a golf club when I retire. But I'd better finish my study first.
