Explore the little remarkable things in life
I'm still feeling I have to pay off my sleep debt, but every day is a new day. Today, typhoon signal no 8 has been hoisted most of the days, and the face-to-face skincare workshop was called off. I felt lucky I joined the Clubhouse - Our happy room, to talk about the topic of "how to align your mind, body, and soul.
It's probably my 2nd or 3rd time joining the clubhouse chat, I felt great to have many others listen to how I feel and at the same time, I love to learn what others share their thoughts. The chat was hosted by Julie, a life coach, and a psychologist.
What I learned from the speakers today and what I explored are listed below:
Body - energy source from food, exercises, sex, focus and 5 senses:
smell - aroma
sound - music
taste - food
touch - massage
sight - beautiful scenery
Mind - best to empty our mind and relax through focus on what we like, that can be related to the 5 senses, and the things we enjoy to create inner peace (e.g. yoga (regulate our breathing; mediation, gardening, housework, music), slowing down things sometimes.
Soul is about our value. That drives us to stick to what we want and what we want to achieve.
I have some thoughts these days about my value - it's not exactly the freedom I mostly enjoy. It's the little things that I explore with my free will, that's more important, and I can do it everywhere.
That's why I love to watch Joey's travel youtube. She is in love with the little town of Toulouse in France rather than Barcelona. It's a simple ancient architecture building rather than a grand, enormous classic building that all tourists rush to see. It's a simple life that can touch our hearts and make us love them more.
I love comic books - so what? Instead of a novel fiction.
I love brie - so what? Instead of the caviar.
I love my place, it's not a great mansion - so what?
Do not force them to follow the crowd and love what they love.
Follow your hearts. Regardless many stereotypes
Thank you Julie, for showing us much wisdom in your late nights.
